The Importance of Urdu in today’s times cannot be over emphasized due to the large number of Islamic works published in urdu. It has become the most important means of Communication of the Muslims of the subcontinent in the past few centuries. Urdu has probably overtaken persian in the amount of authentic literature published to date.
The Darse Nizami (syllabus in Islamic seminaries) which was previously taught in persian is now wholly taught in Urdu in the Indian sub-continent. Only a few books of persian remain in the syllabus.
Mastening the language will prove to be a most invaluable asset and it will open a vast world of literature for the incumbent student.
The Urdu Language original in the region between the ganges and the jamuna Rivers near Dehli. The Muslims that conquered India adopted the local language to communicate with the indigenous people of that region. Very soon they added persian and Arabic words to its vocabulary.
